How Voigt-Logistik and Danfoss Are Writing a Success Story Together.
Danfoss Power Solutions, part of the internationally active Danfoss Group, is a leading provider of hydraulic and electric drive systems for mobile machinery. Danfoss develops solutions that increase machine productivity, reduce emissions, lower energy consumption, and enable electrification.
Until the 1980s, Danfoss Power Solutions – then operating under the name Sauer-Getriebe – worked with a variety of freight forwarders to ship its products. In 1991, the company decided to significantly reduce the number of service providers to improve efficiency.
“We wanted to optimize our inbound processes and focus more on procurement logistics, ” explains Niels Maag, Director Operations Services.
Voigt-Logistik was awarded the contract. The immediate proximity within the Neumünster industrial area proved to be an additional benefit, allowing Voigt-Logistik to take over warehouse logistics.
The new shipping process made outbound logistics significantly more cost-effective. By consolidating daily transports, 30 to 50 loading operations per day were eliminated.
“The transports were better utilized thanks to consolidated outbound traffic. This reduced the number of trips and simultaneously lowered our CO₂ emissions, ” says Niels Maag.
In 2025, packing accuracy in warehouse logistics reached an impressive 99.99 percent.
With the construction of the new logistics center, the areas of inbound, outbound, and service parts were fully consolidated. From groundbreaking in March 2022 to completion in May 2023, only 14 months passed. The subsequent relocation of around 5,000 pallet spaces – equivalent to about 150 truckloads – went smoothly without disrupting ongoing customer supply or production.
In the final step, administrative customs clearance for import operations was also moved to the new site. This increased performance in the service parts area to over 97 percent.

The collaboration with Voigt-Logistik has improved the efficiency of Danfoss Power Solutions’ outbound logistics across all areas. Over the years, Danfoss Power Solutions has become Voigt-Logistik’s largest customer. The successful partnership between Danfoss and Voigt is a prime example of how companies can achieve sustainable growth through shared goals and mutual trust.
