Success Story: TermaTech

How Voigt-Logistik and TermaTech Are Writing a Success Story Together.

TermaTech’s CEO, Søren Toft, has been with the company since its inception.

“Our original idea,” he explains, “was to supply all fireplace showrooms in Europe with accessories – pipes, floor plates, etc. The name ‘TermaTech’ stands for warmth and technology. At the time, we couldn’t have predicted that we would later sell more stoves than accessories.”

The collaboration began quite pragmatically, TermaTech operated a self-managed warehouse in Denmark, but strong seasonal fluctuations in product demand proved difficult to manage. In addition, almost 80% of the goods came to the warehouse from Eastern Europe and had to be shipped back to Germany for the core sales market.

“We started with 50 pallet spaces, which quickly grew to 500 – today there are around 9,000,” explains Søren Toft, adding: “It was important for us to have a partner who could grow with us, who could offer transparency and simple billing. The collaboration had to be straightforward and solution-oriented.”

In addition, there were special requirements for storage and transport, such as handling flammable bioethanol. The packaging had to withstand frequent sea transport to the UK and Norway without damage and comply with legal requirements. A one-stop customs clearance service for the goods was to round off the process. The provision of portable forklifts, which are designed to be carried at the rear of the truck, offers a practical benefit for deliveries and unloading of goods at the customer’s premises.

The changeover and relocation from TermaTech’s own warehouse went smoothly, processes were quickly implemented, and there was a cooperative exchange at all times. Additional system interfaces and digitized processes were added later as required.

“What mattered to us was a partner who could grow with us.”

“Packaging, storage, shipping—everything runs reliably. We were able to concentrate on sales. Flexibility, rapid response to market changes, seasonal adjustments, hazardous goods handling, and quality assurance—these are our daily advantages.”

“There has never been a problem that couldn’t be solved—and that’s actually the best statement about a partnership.”
